ACTION SHOOTERS LOVE THE CACTUS LV-5!

With a retail price of only $110.00, the LV-5 Laser Trigger Kit is the perfect gift for the sports/action/wildlife photographer. The laser receiver, when connected to the camera’s shutter release terminal, fires the camera when the beam from the emitter is broken.

Don’t want the receiver near the camera? No problem!  Just add a V5 transceiver to the mix.  The LV-5 has a built-in V5 radio transmitter that will send a signal to a camera-mounted V5 in receiver mode, which will fire the shutter via the connected shutter release cable.  That allows the LV-5 laser setup to be located up to 100 meters from the camera (depending on lighting conditions).

2018 PHOTO PLUS SHOW WRAP UP

Well the 2018 Photo Plus Show is in the books and it was a very successful one for OmegaBrandess. Hopefully you had a chance to stop by to say hello!

A big focus for us was the Cactus product line and we brought in prominent photographer Rick Friedman to conduct demos at our booth…

Rick was very adept at talking to the audience and pointing out what gear he was using and how it produced the results that were displayed on the monitor. He was using the V6II to trigger and control 2 Cactus RF60X flashes off-camera.  As you can see, he was also demonstrating the Pictools Folding Beauty Dish to great effect.  See the results HERE.

But wait, there’s more! Rick was also using the Gary Fong SnootSkin with gel for a hairlight and even worked in his “Rick Friedman Location Lighting Kit” by Rosco (see the kit hanging on the lightstand).

The demos generated a lot of interest from the attendees and we talked to many folks about Cactus and Pictools!
